2008 Resolutions
I spent all day today with the hangover of the century. Not surprising given the amount of beer I downed in celebration of the new year. Once every brain cell in my head stopped screaming I started to think about new year resolutions.
I don't remember making any resolutions last year. If I did I certainly didn't post them on the site. I've always had my Things To Do Before I Die list dangling over my head for a while now, so what better time to start whittling down the entries. I've expanded on a few entries and broken them down into component parts. My thinking is that it'll be easier to track success that way.
Without further ado I give you Trav's Official 2008 Resolutions:
- Start home brewing beer
- Learn to bake bread and bread related products
- Learn how to make my own sausages.
- Increase exercise to counteract the effects of a beer/sausage/bread diet
- Finish writing my novel
- Get at least two short stories published
- Learn more Italian

I've wanted to do some home brew for a while (which is the reason Justine got me the DIY brewing voucher, which will be a great start) too...

Oh, and re. #7 might I suggest you find some mp3s of Pimsleur Italian (http://www.pimsleurapproach.com/learn-italian.asp)? All you need is 15-20 minutes a day and a place where you can repeat things without feeling like an idiot. I tried the French for about a few weeks (but six weeks before) our holiday last year and was amazed at how much I was actually able to understand, especially in such a short time.

I think 2008 might just be the year of the brew off. :P

I wish to do home distilling and aging the product in barrels.

I think I'd like to see those results!

Mike, I don't know why your second comment was stuck in the queue. I didn't even know I had a queue!
I'll check that language site out soon. I just need to buy some headphones first.
