My Vegetable Garden
I originally called this post “How green is my garden?” but then I realised I’d already written a post last year with a similar name.
I began the vegetable garden project two weeks ago by spending an afternoon digging up a large part of the back garden and mulching through bags and bags of manure and blood and bone.
Fast forward to today and the whole mess seems to have settled in quite nicely. Although for some reason the top layer seems to contain a large amount of small rocks. The rake soon took care of that.
The seeds are now in. I’m growing eggplant, watermelon, cucumber and carrots. I’m making a few notes on growing times here and in my calendar so I’ll be able to track whether the the plants are thriving or not.
Eggplant

A maturation age of about 14 weeks takes me all the way to December 28. If all goes to plan we should be having a very delicious new years indeed.
