Why Inno­cent Bystander?
It came about as a joke when try­ing to wran­gle free tick­ets from the Mel­bourne Arts Fes­ti­val. I thought it would be funny to have a nametag with my name and “Inno­cent Bystander” under­neath it. It’s prob­a­bly not nearly as funny as I think it is.

Not related to the win­ery then?
Nope. They do make a good drop of wine though.

Duly noted. So whats the site about then?
This site is part sand­box, part note­book, part jour­nal. I use it to keep track of the hap­pen­ings in my life (I have a ter­ri­ble mem­ory), while also using it to brush up on my XHTML, HTML and CSS skills. I’m learn­ing PHP as I go. I no longer curl into the fetal posi­tion when­ever I view the code.

Oh, and you’ll see a few of my pho­tos crop up from time to time.

What’s the site run­ning on?
The site sits on a ver­sion of Word­Press. What ver­sion it is I couldn’t tell you. The cod­ing is a mix of XHTML, CSS and PHP. It’s the Word­Press default tem­plate, with style.

So it val­i­dates?
Hehe, not exactly. It’s on the To Do list.

What else is on this so called To Do list?
Most of it can be found here. Thats the life-changing stuff though, the rest of the list is just pep­pered with the mudane chores like “replace light­bulb” and “throw out green waste”.
